NEW VENUE FOR SJ COMPS 2008

Please note, from May 2008 onwards, all FDRC Showjumping competitions will be held at Maelor EC (formerly Hope EC) and NOT at Northop College.  Please scroll down the page for a full list of dates, please note some competition dates have changed from those previously published. 

 

New Year, New Timetable!! 

Dear All,

 Firstly, a big thank you to everyone who competed at our monthly show jumping competitions during 2007. We have had a fantastic year and we are looking forward to the AGM in 2008 to present prizes to our class winners. A list of champions will be posted on this site shortly.

 As we move into 2008 we would like to clarify the format of our show jumping competitions. The format for next year will remain the same as 2007. We will continue to run clear round, beginners, mini novice, novice, intermediate, small open and the open. We will run a 3ft 6 class if requested on the day. 

 We have had a number of occasions this year when we have had large classes and the competitions have run on late into the day. Please could you all remember that show jumping by its very nature involves a lot of standing around and that the organizers can not be held responsible for the size of the classes.  

We are aware that other clubs in the area offer commentary and a two phase course. The F&DRC committee has decided not to offer this format in 2008 as we wish to continue to offer a low key, fun afternoon out for competitors at all levels.

Finally, we wish to stress that the show jumping competitions are open to over 18s only. This is a committee decision, we are an over 18’s club and we must adhere to this. Any under 18’s turning up on the day will not be allowed to compete.

 Our timetable has changed slightly for next year so please check the new dates.
