HELP DAYS NEWS

The club would like to remind members that a condition of membership of the club is completing one full help day per year (unless of course you opt to buy out your help day for £20). Following recent difficulties in obtaining helpers for events, it has been decided by the committee that help days will be allocated FOR members without prior conversation.  If you are unable to perform your help day on the date allocated, you have the option of organising someone else to substitute for you or paying the £20 help day buy out fee.  Total failure to supply cover for the allocated help day will result in forfeited membership.

Expenses of £20 are paid to those helpers at Area 20 events. 

It is a pity that this stance has had to be taken, but the task of organising helpers is a thankless one, and recent rudeness to an event organiser telephoning for helpers has meant that a tougher line must be taken.  Without helpers, we simply cannot organise events for you, the members.   

Helpers that have completed a help day in 2007 will be published on this website along with the date they completed a help day.
