RIDER CHALLENGE FUN DAY

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.    The judges’ decision is final.  Objections must be made within 30 minutes and be accompanied by a deposit of £30.  If the objection is upheld, the deposit will be refunded. 

2.      Please take care to safeguard valuable tack and possessions.       Neither the event organisers nor the landowner can accept           responsibility for loss or injury to persons or animals howsoever caused. 

3.      Hard hats with standard currently recommended by the B.H.S. (PAS015, EN1384 or ASTMF1163 and bearing thekite mark or SEI) properly adjusted and fastened must be worn at all times whilst mounted. 

4.      Suitable riding footwear must be worn and spurs, if worn,  must be rounded, not exceeding 3.5cm in length and point downwards.  Whips must not exceed 75cm in length. 

5.      The competition is open to horses and ponies aged 4 years old and over in 2007. 

6.      Competitors must hold current suitable third party liability         insurance. 

7.      Competitors will be eliminated for the following reasons:

          1.      Excessive use of the whip

          2.      Dangerous riding

          3.      Abusive language

 8.      Tack must not be altered for each phase of the competition, i.e. the same tack must be used throughout the day. 

9.      Riders numbers must be visible when on the course.
