Dressage League Information
(dates on diary dates tab on left)
In the May, June
and July competitions all the tests will be competitive (i.e. competitors do not
need to ride HC unless they specifically wish to) and depending on demand these
might be half-days.
The Beginners
League is for those who are new to dressage and competitors may only compete in
it for one season before they move up to Prelim. This class is also for young
horses [4yo]. Tack and turnout rules are the same for beginners classes as
the rest of the league (see below for rules).
In the
Beginners, Preliminary, Novice and Elementary Leagues – only one test can be
competitive, the other must be HC i.e. competitors may not compete at more than
one level of competition, (although they may compete at a different level on
another horse) but are welcome to enter any of the other available classes HC.
Members
£8 per competitive test
£6 per HC test
Non-members
£10 per test.
Points
and rosettes awarded 1st to 6th [6 points – 1point].
One
point is awarded for each entry who competes in their competitive class [members
only].
In each
league the highest points scored in the season is the champion.
In
order to give everyone a chance to win then anyone with an average of more than
³62%
would be actively encouraged to ‘move up’. Those who do not want to move up
could stay in the prelim but would have to go HC.
