The FDRC was founded in 1994 by a group of like minded adults, who wished to train with, and
compete against, similar adults. A committee was formed, and the club was born.
Today the club has grown to an average of 170 members a year, and goes from strength to
strength. We pride ourselves on being a very friendly, welcoming club. We encourage all
members at our competitions, and riders of all abilities are welcomed.
We hold regular subsidised training with popular flatwork and jumping instructors, as well as
clinics with guest instructors, and training and competitions in BHS Trec. Members only may
attend clinics and training sessions, however non members are welcome to compete at a
limited number of our competitions before they will be asked if they would like to join. Only
those over 18 years of age are allowed to join the FDRC.
Our annual membership fee is £25, giving excellent value for money! The membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st each year. Each
member is required to complete a help day, which can be undertaken in two half days, or one complete day. A buy out option was introduced to allow the
club sufficient funds to pay another member to complete a help day in the place of a member who has opted for the buy out. There is an online form for
members to fill in to choose their help day for the year, please do not wait to be asked!
We have a range of club clothing available to order, including fleeces, polo shirts, rugby shirts etc., all excellent quality with the FDRC logo embroidered in
If you would like any further information on the FDRC, please feel free to contact any committee member (information on the drop down menu item
